What are your hours ?
Drivesure COFB open at 6am Monday to Saturday for the early birds.
Do I need to make a booking ?
Yes this is best so you are not waiting. We can often slip in last minute COF’s, so give the team a call and they will do what they can.
How do I make a Booking?
Just call your nearest Drivesure COFS location and our team will be happy to help.
Do I need to book a recheck for my COF ?
Yes, to save you time and prevent being stuck behind a truck and trailer waiting.
Are Rechecks Free at Drivesure ?
YES, your first recheck is free of charge. Subsequent rechecks may be charged though, depending on how much work is involved.
How long does a COFB inspection take?
This generally depends on the type of vehicle and number of axles. A 2 axle might take 20 minutes, and large truck and trailer 45 minutes.
What do I do on arrival ?
Park your vehicle in the inspection lane, remember to apply the brake and put it in gear Follow the walkway signage to reception and don’t forget your license plate and TSL numbers. Don’t use your cellphone while walking about please.
Can I bring it in before the COF expires?
Yes, we can add up to 28 days to your new expiry date.
Can you do a Pre-Check or VCR ?
Yes we do a COF Pre-Check to help preserve your Operator Safety Rating. If it passes the Pre-Check we can usually do the COF straight away, no re-booking required.
Does Drivesure have motorhome discount ?
Yes, Motorhome prices are 5% less than a COF, and NZMCA members get a further 10% off that. Great value!
What can I do before I come in:
Quick check of tyres (and inner wheels), Lights, window wipers, lights working on dash, No cracks in windscreen, Check Rust/ Corrosion issues, all things secure on vehicle ie Mirrors/ bumpers/ Sidegates/ Mudguards.
